With Earth Day having just been celebrated (April 22nd), the team here at Guardpack wanted to talk about how the products our customers use have an impact on the environment.
We all know how important it is to make better choices when it comes to the environment. As a society, we see the effects of a changing climate on a daily basis. We often despair that there doesn’t seem to be much we can do to help. There are small changes we can make, however. This could be choosing companies who use recyclable laminates and by choosing to go with biodegradable wipes instead of normal wet wipes. These conscious choices help us to be a little bit more eco-friendly.

Biodegradable wipes NOT flushable wipes!
It’s easy to get swept away by the promise of biodegradable that we may forget what it really means. Biodegradable wipes are not the same as flushable wipes. For many years, water companies have discouraged the flushing of wet wipes as they make up 93% of annual sewer blockages. The products we have, here at Guardpack, are 100% biodegradable if left to decompose in a landfill, however, this doesn’t mean they can be flushed down the toilets.
