The Responsible Person (RP)

The Responsible Person is an established person within the Community that is to be designated for each product placed on the market. This can either be the manufacturer or in the case of products marketed under another name or trademark, may be the distributor or brand owner. In this case, the manufacturer may designate, by written mandate, a person established within the Community as the responsible person who shall accept in writing.
